Caramel apples are my livelihood and I love them so much I’ve dedicated my life to them. Just kidding, but here’s how I make these fancy caramel apples.
ps: This would be really fun to do as a date!
Apples (I like any green apples)
Lollipop or wooden sticks
Melting Chocolate (Buy the expensive stuff at your best grocery store. You will not regret it)
- Wash your apples thoroughly, dry and slice into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- Warm your melting chocolate in a double boiler on medium heat. Dip all of the apple slices into the chocolate and set to harden on Parchment paper for at least 20 minutes.
- Use a rubber spatula to put your remaining chocolate in a piping bag (or plastic bag), cut a small hole and drizzle onto the apples. Wait for the chocolate to harden and then top with caramel. You can even go crazy with mores toppings like nuts, Oreos, or more chocolate.
- Allow to harden in the refrigerator and enjoy!
