This summer has been one for the books. I started a new job, finished three summer courses, lived in a tent for 9 days in Wisconsin, planted a garden, saw the largest airshow in the United States, found out my dog is healthy again and spent a some time soul-searching for myself. I also said goodbye to a few things: my anxiety, a few jobs, my stress and now soon I’ll be saying goodbye to college. When I think about this summer, I can only reminisce about all of the great things that happened, even though it wasn’t always perfect. In fact, it almost never was.
I haven’t posted in almost three months intentionally because I wanted to spend some time living. For the longest time I’ve felt like I have nothing to say, I felt empty inside because my anxiety obstructed me from my creativity. I still sometimes feel the same way, but not nearly as strong or as often. Now after spending some quality time healing from the stress of spring semester, I feel inspired to start creating content again.
Today Mitchell and I treated ourselves to our favorite restaurant and went to the farmers market. After being apart for two weeks, the weekends we do have together are so blissful. I also splurged this week on a new Kate Spade bag (see photos below) and also few other things but I will wait to show those later! Fall clothes are my muse. 🙈
Fall semester starts next week and so does my final three months of college. The end is so close I can practically taste the victory of completing my undergrad in three and a half years. Speaking of sweets, fall is the best time of the year in Minnesota so look forward to A LOT of fall blogs. I have a list in my phone of ideas that keeps growing so it’s time to catch up and get back to doing what I love.
Summer is not over yet, so I’m going to go have a beer now. Cheers!
