Summer Favs

August 24, 2016

I have been accumulating these “empties” in my cabinet for a few weeks until I had enough to successfully make this post. I ran out of my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream for months because I used it up so quickly. A few months ago I wrote post about how much I love Kiehl’s, and I do plan on purchasing more soon. Without further ado, these are my summer favs!

Here’s a product I have been using for almost a year. In fact, this is the third bottle I have purchased this year. At $21 a bottle, I think the Aveda Brilliant Damage Control spray is pretty affordable as far as Aveda products go. The main reason I love this product is because of the wonderful SMELL. It’s that fragrance when you get your hair done and you don’t want to wash it ever again. My hair smells that way every single day and I love it. I will use this product for the rest of my life!

I know this is on a lot of people’s favorites lists, but I just discovered this foundation this year. The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation is perfect if you have problem areas and love a full-coverage look. My skin has cleared up a lot in recent months, so I switched to a different foundation last month. This foundation is used by so many people because it is liquid gold in a bottle. There are SO many colors to choose from, so everyone can find their perfect shade. With my red skin, the Pink Porcelain is a perfect match for me. I will definitely continue to use this product for when I want a full-coverage look. The only down fall to this product is that it makes my freckles disappear, but that’s just me!

IMG_4072 copyI accidentally stumbled across this product when I was camping in Wisconsin and I needed dry shampoo desperately. The mini toiletries section of Target is the sh*t. This product works like it’s supposed to and actually gives your hair another day of non-greasiness. I’ve tried a lot of other dry shampoos from drug store to Victoria’s Secret and have not been impressed until now. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo is the way to go when you don’t feel like showering.

I wrote a blog post about Kiehl’s back in May, and I’m loving this product everyday! Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is the best for dry skin, oily skin, and people with eczema (like myself). I need to re-order this product so badly, but I can’t afford this amazing but expensive product right now. If your bank account isn’t weeping like mine is, give this facial cream a try-you wont be disappointed!

Last but not least, this is what I consider to be the best mascara on the market. Benefit always hits it out of the park and this mascara is no exception. The Benefit They’re Real Mascara is a steal at just $24, compared to spending $40-50 on other brands. I never saw the reason for spending more than $6 on drugstore mascara until I tried this brand. Just so happens I found the best mascara ever after switching from using Covergirl Lashblast for the past ten years. Seriously, you have got to give this mascara a try!

I saved these products up for weeks just to write this post so these are my absolute favorites and I would never recommend a product unless I used it and loved it myself. This post is not sponsored, but if any of these brands wanted to endorse me I could not say no. I love all of these brands and spent my personal money on each of these products.

Thanks for reading! 🙂
